With deepest regrets and saddened hearts, we would like to announce the passing of Jospeh Patrick Millar, Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
Joseph (Joe) began his life in the North of Ireland, which he loved with a capital “I” to the bone. his love for Ireland followed him as he moved to Denmark where he became a Master Machinist, and then finding his forever home with his family, In Canada.
Joe was a giant of a man, literally and figuratively, with a heart made of pure gold and kindness. If anyone could be genuinely called, “one of the good guys”, it was Joe. Always laughing and joking, he never had a bad thing to say about anyone. It always felt good to be in his presence, and he never stopped smiling despite numerous health problems. A life long Socialist and Republican he NEVER forgot where he came from. Thank god that Ireland in the form of Ros Cooney, gave him happiness in his final months/moments of life.
Joseph is pre-deceased by:
His mother Elizabeth (Madden) Millar and his father Samuel Millar
He is survived by his loving children: Kara (Mike) Siwiski, James McCarthy, Joseph (Heather) Millar
Grandchildren: Samantha (Bradley) Buchanan, Michelle Mattson, Andrea (Perry) Mattson, Nathalie McCarthy, John-Matthew McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Mackenzie Siwiski and Cassidy Siwiski.
Great Grandchildren: Daniel and Greyson
As well as his siblings: Danny (Eileen) Millar, Mary (Aunt Toni), Philomena (Seamus) McLoran, Sam (Bernie) Millar, and MULTIPLE Nieces and Nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
may god hold you in the palm of his hand.
We love you forever and always.
Leave a Condolence
