It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we bid farewell to a great man.

Lawrence Roland Edel was born April 22, 1939, in Shevlin, Manitoba and passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023, in Edmonton, AB.

He was a peace-loving gentleman who would give so much to others selflessly. Lawrence lost his parents at early age spent time with his older brothers Arnold and Emil until he finished his high school in Roblin, Manitoba. Eventually working in oil/gas industry in Fort St. John he met the love of his life, Ann Neufeld, and legally became Dad to Ann’s two children Bonnie and Brent. Lawrence and Ann were blessed with two more children, Laura (Laurie) and Mark.

His family and friends were most important in his life and brought so much joy when his children, grandchildren and extended family and friends came for coffee or supper. He coached baseball, volunteered at soup kitchens, help fix homes for neighbors and
volunteered at Habitat for Humanity. He spent many years gracefully caring for Ann when she fell sick.

Lawrence is survived by his children, Bonnie (Menno), Brent (Satomi), Mark (Sandy), Derek (Gail) and their special grandchildren, Ryan (Stacy), Jordan, Nolan, Sarah, Erik and his great granddaughter Pearl.

He was predeceased by his parents, his young daughter Laurie, and his wife of 53 years Ann Edel.

A memorial service will be held December 29th at the Concordia Lutheran Church
5420 19a Ave NW, Edmonton, AB.
Service will be held at 11am with coffee and snacks afterwards.
