It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Andrew Clement James.
Jeffrey was born on June 20th, 1949 in Pembrokeshire, Wales to Ronald and Doris James. In a busy household of 6 boys, Jeff was the second youngest. Jeff joined the British Navy and also worked a variety of jobs throughout Wales and England before moving to Canada in the early 1980’s.
In 1991, Jeff was granted his Canadian citizenship. In Canada, Jeff primarily worked as a scaffolder, but dabbled in handyman and house renovation work. It was very rare for him to live somewhere without an active renovation happening.
Jeff passed on July 15th, 2024. Jeff is survived by his children, grandchildren, three of his brothers, and the many nieces and nephews he has back in Wales. As per Jeff’s wishes, his ashes will be brought back to Wales.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 26th at Newton Community Hall. The hall will open at 5:00pm, with a ceremony at 6:00.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Edmonton Humane Society on his behalf. Jeff loved taking care of the animals in his life.
