On his own courageous terms, Matthew Lee Evans left us in the early morning of February 17th, 2025. Left to mourn his passing are, his son Ethan, parents Evan and Gisela Evans, brother Shane (Natalie)and nephew Jacob, maternal grandmother Helene Lankoff, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, Ethan’s mother Sherry and his special companion Zoe.
Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Edward and Violet Evans, maternal grandfather Karl Lankoff, Aunt Ingrid and Uncle Tim MacEachern, Uncle Eric Lankoff, and recently his cousin Steven Hansen.
A Celebration of Matthew’s Life will be held at a later date.

I am very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Matt for some years. He was always a great person to be around. He took time to introduce me to his son and attended my son’s baptism. I’ve missed working with him and will always remember those times as positive ones. Matt, you rocked!

My family’s deepest condolences on the loss of Matt. It has been many years since I saw Matt but my memories of him are good ones. He had a wonderful laugh and was such a good friend to my daughter April. I’m sorry that his last years on this earth were tough ones but it sounds like he handled them with courage and strength. All our love to his entire family.

Matt was a brave man, fighting his greatest challenge in his own way. I’ll never forget the time he reprimanded Zoe because she wouldn’t showing me her amazing talent.
Matt asked Zoe “How she could embarass him like that.” In short time they were both back and Zoe proceeded to put on a show. And, Matt was very pleased with her.
