Richard (Rick) Baron
1961-2025
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rick on November 20th. Mourning his loss are his children Sara (RJ) and Seth, who were the greatest joy of his life, along with their mother Debra, sisters Paulette (Terry), Laurette (Jim), Bernadette (Hugh), and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Robert (Bob) and Jeanette.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Doug for the assistance he provided to Rick in his last few years.
There will be a visitation on Friday, November 28th from 2 to 4 pm at Simply Cremations, 5224 99 St. Following cremation, a private celebration of life for immediate family will be held. Later, Rick will be reunited with the outdoors he dearly loved.
A livestream will be conducted at the date of the service on December 6 at 4pm.

Rick would not want you to be sad. In his memory, please hug your loved ones and reconnect with an old friend or two.

Couldn’t name you a person who didn’t like Rick . Very charismatic, unassuming and a very charming person. Was a very captivating person .Without trying he could get you attention .Had very unique qualities. RIP Rick . BLUNTA .
my condolences to ricks family, a very sad time. i havent seen him much recently but used to see him all the time. rick is a really good guy and a good friend. just a few memories ill always have…. watching the oilers at our place with the guys (back when they were a powerhouse) tv on volume off.. listening to rockin rod phillips call the game on the radio….going to the loft listening to rick and his band mates, long weekends at the lake;;; late night philosophical debates about the universe and life and spirituality…. his ongoing mustang project… and of course.. the wrestling wine…gonna miss ya man sincerely…. harry
