Anneliese Klara Kronen (née Grosser) was born on June 1, 1936, in Unterweißbach, Germany, and passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta.

On August 14, 1959, she married her beloved husband, Günter Kronen, in Duisburg, Germany. Together they shared a marriage marked by devotion, faithfulness, and enduring love. They made their home in Holzappel, Germany, where they raised their family and formed lasting friendships. In 1980, they embarked on a new chapter, immigrating to Canada and building a life rooted in family and community.

Anneliese was predeceased by her cherished husband, Günter, and by her children, Hans Peter and Sabine. She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her brother, Udo Grosser; her children, Andreas Kronen (Kerstin) and Annette Gustafson (Brent); her grandchildren, Nicole Kronen, Ross Gustafson (Rachel), Sabrina Eby, Elizabeth Muth (Brett), Kevin Kronen, and Emily Gustafson; and her great-grandchildren, Riley, Calvin, Wendy, Celeste, Wyatt, Johnny, Emma, Ewan, Arthur, and Hannah.

Anneliese found great joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She tended her flower garden with care, especially her beloved roses. She delighted in baking cakes for afternoon coffee and treasured the time spent visiting with family and friends. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by those she loved.

She will be remembered for her quiet strength, steadfast faith, and deep devotion to her family. Trusting in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she lived her life with grace and assurance, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in His presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Clareview Bible Chapel, 3629 – 145 Avenue NW, Edmonton, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with refreshments to follow.
