It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Linda, on January 19, 2023, in Edmonton, Alberta.
Linda was born and raised in Shawville, Quebec, until her family moved to Edmonton.
She was the third child of the late Neil and Kathleen Telford. She is now at peace with her late son Brandon Prevey.
Survived by her husband John Heritage, sons Joshua Prevey (Chrissy) and Jarret Prevey (Melissa).
Granny to Emma, Monroe, Jamieson, Alicia, Nicholas, Zoie and Benson. Siblings Bruce (Penny), Brian (Pat), Diane (late Sylvia), Bill (Jennifer), Sandra (Tom)
She will be missed deeply by her family, nieces, nephews and all who knew her.
I will always have this piece of my heart that smiles whenever I think of you.

Donna Rattan (nee Peskunowicz) 1948-2023

Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Niece, and Friend to All

It is with great sadness we let you all know that Donna passed away peacefully June 20, 2023 with her son Boyd by her side and daughter Jodi on the phone.

Donna was born in Edmonton and grew up in the Burtonsville/Tomahawk area of Alberta.

She became mother to Boyd Rausch and then Jodi Laycock (Husband Scott and son Storm) of Luceland, SK.

Donna was first and foremost a great mother. She did everything to ensure her children experienced worldly travels in their early years.
She lived in many countries including Libya, Scotland, Gabon, Norway, Greece, France and Switzerland.

Donna eventually returned to Canada to spend time with all her family, her lifelong friend Judy, and all others she blessed with her friendship.

There is not a single person who she met that did not agree that she was the kindest and most compassionate person they ever met.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre for their kind and compassionate care during her last days.

She will be missed by all for her positive outlook, great story telling, and time she always made for her friends and family.

Joseph Henri “Jean” Dionne

Peacefully on July 1, 2023, Jean passed away in his home at Laurier House.

He was predeceased by his parents, Georges and Denise Dionne. Jean will be remembered by his wife, Debbie; daughters, Joelle (Matthew) and Danielle (Luke); and by his grandchildren Mackenzie, Jack, Audrey, Hudson, and Maddox. He will also be remembered by his
sisters, Nicole (Serge), Odette, Michelle and Danielle (Yves), his sisters-in-law, Sherry, Melanie (Dennis), Sandy (Lloyd), and mother-in-law, Thelma Fritz, as well as by nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jean loved sports, music and most of all his family and friends. Jean loved people!

Jean made a career working for Bell, Edmonton Telephones, Ed-Tel and Telus for 35 years, retiring in 2010.

Jean loved traveling, taking many road trips with his family throughout Canada, and out of country trips, to Europe, Australia, Asia, and Russia. He always lived life to the fullest and always said, “La vie est belle.”

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12 at St. John Lutheran Church of Ardrossan, 52233 R.R. 221, Sherwood Park, AB.

The family would like to invite everyone for refreshments in the basement following the service.

Thomas Cunningham Prentice

Thomas (Tom) Prentice passed away peacefully at Westview Health Centre, Stony Plain AB, at the age of 96.

Tom and his wife, Barbara, were devoted to each other and
celebrated over 68 wonderful years of marriage. Together they moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1966 from their homeland of Scotland. They enjoyed their time within the Scottish community and their church in Edmonton.

Tom was predeceased by Barbara in 2017; his parents Adam and Margaret Prentice; and his brothers Isaac and James Prentice. He is survived by son Alan (Lisa), Grandson Ryan (Brittany) and a niece and nephews in Scotland.

The family thanks the caring staff at Westview, and friends Nessie Baxter, Grant Nicol, Bonnie Westerman, Nancy Morban and the Hillman family. A private graveside
committal service for Tom to rejoin Barb will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Frank Stephen Robertson

On June 12, 2023 at the age of 82 years, Frank passed away at his home. Frank came to Canada at the age of 5 from the Netherlands. Frank worked in the cab business for the better part of his adult life. Frank is remembered by his daughter Lisa (Kirby) Anderson, grandchildren Brooke, Jeremy and Isabella, his sister Dianne (Mark) Radetzky, 2 nieces and a nephew. Frank had many good friends in the cab business. He will be missed by his good friend Mehrdad (Johnny). Frank was predeceased by his parents Theadore and James Robertson as well as his brother Jim (JR).

Richard Donald Miles

Richard Donald Miles, 62 of Mayerthorpe, AB, passed away
suddenly at home on June 28, 2023.

Rick was born on April 3, 1961 to Eileen and David Miles in Toronto, ON. After Rick graduated from Grande Cache High in 1977, he went on to study to become a Millwright at NAIT.

Rick’s first job started out helping with the family business “Dave’s Pizza”. He worked many different jobs in many different places over his lifetime. It helped him become a master of all trades.

In 1982, Rick met the love of his life Veronica Murray in Grande Cache. Rick and Veronica went on to have 2 beautiful children, Michele (Robert Knowles) and David.

Rick was known to many by his sense of humour, always with a quick wit and funny
commentary. He enjoyed golfing in his free time and playing and training with his dog, Bandit. Rick’s love of family ran deep. He was incredibly proud of his children and loved nothing more than watching his grandchildren grow and thrive.

Rick is survived by both his parents; his siblings Debbie (Randy), Brian (Nancy) and Michael (Andrea); and many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Mayerthorpe on July 25 at time to be determined. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests donations be made to any of your favourite causes.

Patricia Mary Hughes

Pat died peacefully on June 14, 2023. Her passing is remembered with great sadness by her friends and family while her life is recalled with happiness and smiles at the exuberance and cheerfulness that she brought to her relationships.

The many children Pat taught will remember her as a loving,
encouraging teacher.

Her love of music was obvious to all by the many choirs in which she was a gleeful member.

Pat wished to thank everyone who knew her for the heartfelt joy that each one of you brought to her life, and that her family and friends remember the good times, the shared laughter, fun and memories.

In memory of Pat’s love of reading, a donation could be made to the Edmonton Public Library or to another charity of your choice.

“Friendship isn’t a big thing; it’s a million little things.”

Cremation has taken place; as per Pat’s wishes, no service will be held.

Tracey Louise Kelly Kostiniuk

Tracey Louise Kelly of Edmonton Alberta, passed away
unexpectedly on June 12, 2023.

Tracey was born on September 24th, 1969 in Trail, BC, to Marion and Gordon Hill, the younger sister to Carol Hill. Her family moved around BC but settled in Cranbrook where she grew up with her loving family.

From her first marriage came her beloved sons, Shawn and Terry.

After moving to Alberta she found her husband Kevin Kostiniuk whom she loved and was loved by for the remaining 16 years of her life.

Her kindness, generosity and love of family and life, lifted everyone who knew her.

She retired from a fulfilling career at Winnifred Stewart Association in 2020 after a stroke the previous year, had left her unable to continue work. However, her sense of purpose kept her active quilting, painting, sewing and being a guide, caregiver and sitter to her grandson, grand nephews and niece.

Left to mourn are her parents, Marion and Gordon; Sister Carol; Sons Shawn and Terry; Husband Kevin; Uncles Gord and Jim (Edwina); her Nieces Courtney Kristin (Jean-guy) and Katie Mae (Josh); her nephews Kyle and Caleb; Grandson Walker; grand-niece Alaya; and grand-nephews Zachary, Lathan and Caleb, as well as numerous other relatives. She will also be missed by numerous coworkers and close friends that she had known.

In lieu of floral tributes, a donation to either the Winnifred Stewart Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be welcome.

Grace Harrison Schneider

Grace Harrison Schneider was born in Greenock, Scotland on May 30th, 1941 and moved to Canada in 1959. She was married in 1961, and raised her four children in Edmonton, Alberta.

Grace passed away at the age of 82 years old on June 21st, 2023. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerd. Grace is
survived by her four children, Diane, David, Darleen (Joseph) and Jean (Allen) as well as her four grandchildren, Randy, Christopher, Emma, and Tony, her four younger siblings, Bridie, Helen, Jean and David, and her dearest friend, Bernice. She will be dearly missed by all.

Please join us on Friday, June 30th, 2023 for a mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (9850 148 Street) at 8:30am where prayers and blessings will be said for Grace.

The interment will be held at 10:00 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (14611 Mark Messier Trail) followed by a luncheon and fellowship at the St. Albert Inn (#156 St. Albert Trail).

Kenneth Robert Charles Brough

Predeceased by his parents Albert & Maggie, brothers Raymond and John

At Kenneth’s request he will be cremated and there will be no service held.
