Eustace Fitzroy Dover

October 8th, 1951 – Jan. 15th, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Eustace. Beloved husband for 22 years to Micki (Michelle) Dover, proud Father to Keeshon and Taymon, Brother to Trevor Charles and Sandra (Laurie) Sargeant, Son to Alwilda Sargeant, Nephew to Dorothy (Melvin) Bailey and Janice Headley. He was also Godfather to Sheena Semeniuk, Shane Cornelius and Kayla Lambert Shepard.

He was predeceased by his Brother, Robert (Steven) Charles and his Dad, Basil Dover. He was born on the beautiful Island of Antigua, and moved to Canada in his early 20’s, first living in Toronto, then Winnipeg and eventually settling down in Edmonton, Alberta. He became a Canadian Citizen in 1991.

Eustace was an extremely hard-working man who was passionate about the game of football and would enjoy a beer after a long hard day at work. All of which he got through because of a fierce love and desire to support his family. He loved his two sons and taught them, among many things, to grow up to be hard-working young adults and always
emphasized that they were to take care of their Mom, his wife, Micki. Whom he adored from the moment he met her 28 years ago.

Eustace was loved by all who were blessed to know him.
As per his wishes, he was cremated and we will celebrate his life in a unique way that he would absolutely love, on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023. We know he will be cheering on and continuously supporting his family from his place of peace.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honour to
Eustace’s favourite charity, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation in Edmonton, AB.

I knew Eustace for years. He was always so kind to me and will hold a special place in my heart.

Aunt Janice, Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Melvin, Laura and Hugh

My memories of Eustace is when he was living with us when he was about 7 years old. Any of our friends or his Grandma’s friends, if they were bald, he would go up to them and rub their head and then he said “could I have 5 cents please”, we got a chuckle out of that. The other memory I had was that he loved soccer and football. If my kids were watching a program on TV and football was on, he would sit on them and change the channel. Lastly, if he called me, he never said “Hi Auntie”, it was always “Hey Girl, how are you doing?” We will miss him, may he rest in peace as he unites with his Father, Basil and his Brother, Steve.

My thoughts and prayers are with Eustace’s family and friends. He was such a caring and memorable person that I was privileged enough to know. I met Eustace approximately 26 years ago, Eustace’s hired me as a bouncer at the Greenhouse and taught me so much about the industry. You will be deeply missed my friend.
