James Patrick Devereaux
Jamie passed away on Jan. 27, 2022, in Edmonton, at the age of 37. Jamie grew up in Halifax and spent his adult life between there and Western Canada. He was a great cook, funny and loved to travel. He had a restless spirit and a kind heart. Jamie loved animals and was always with his dogs, especially Brutus. He left behind his parents, Patricia and Brian Devereaux, his brother Sean (Carolyn Landry), his son Asher and niece Isabelle. He is also remembered fondly by his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Halifax, Ottawa and Whistler. He will be cremated in Edmonton and funeral services in Halifax will be held at a later date in a family ceremony. Please send any donations, in his name, to the Canadian Liver foundation.
Jamie was dealt an unfair and difficult start in life. May he find the peace he was looking for in his next life.

Wishing Jamie’s family peace and strength during this difficult time. We remember Jamie as being full of life and very funny this news is heartbreaking. May you Rest In Peace Jamie.
I’m very sad to hear that Jamie has passed. He had a good heart and was always good for a laugh. He had a quick wit, that could make anyone smile. He loved saying the unexpected and watching your reaction.
He had used his smoker and made the best smoked salmon, brought it over for my husband and I. He was always kind to us, lovingly talked about his son, and of course his dog. Rest In Peace, Jamie. My thoughts are with the Devereaux family, Asher, and of course Brutus too.
