John is survived by his partner Debbie, stepdaughters Natasha Gennaro, Tatiana Schopf (Scott), sister Georgina (Jack) Lee, brother Tom Heath, nephew John Darrell Lee (Heidi), niece Diane (Kelly) Edwards, great niece Jennifer (Luke) Pasquale, great nephews Sean Edwards & Jackson Lee, along with sister-in-law Sherry Gaw & family, & brother-in-law Richard Gaw (Kate). John was predeceased by his parents Alma & Cecil Heath.
John’s passion in life has always been with thoroughbred racing as a trainer in earlier years and a successful Jockey’s Agent for most of his life. He always had a pocket full of mints for his favourite horses. His other passion was the mountains, anytime he could get away.
A celebration of life will be held at the Edmonton EXPO Centre, 7515 – 118 Ave. NW, on Wednesday, October 19th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Ballrooms 105-106.
Dear John It was a great pleasure knowing you.You helped me accomplish my dream as becoming a jockey and having a successful career.Full of wisdom.You will always have a special place in my heart I was blessed to have seen you one last time just a few months ago Who knew that would be the last. I will miss you!! Rest In Peace John Heath.

John was a respected member of the racetrack community…we’ll known and cared for…loved the races.
I had the pleasure of John acting as my agent for most of my time riding in Edmonton and Calgary. He was such a nice and pleasant man and I appreciated that greatly. RIP John Heath, and thanks for the memories.

So sorry to lose John, always a quiet gentleman at the track who was very skilled at his career as a jockey agent as the champion jockeys list, for whom he booked mounts, will show. RIP, old friend.

Deryle and I are so incredibly sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was someone I always liked to bump into on the backstretch for a good chat. He had a kind smile and that was his way. We will certainly miss him.
