John Clark

On December 27, 2022, John Clark passed away peacefully at the Grey Nuns Hospital while in Palliative Care, at the age of 77.

John was predeceased by his son, John William Andrew Clark;
parents Jeanne and William Clark of Scotland; and sister Margaret McCabe of Australia.

John will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by his children Barbara and Andrew (Tara); and his grandchildren Kody, Ashton, Abigail, and Kayla.

Although John was divorced, his ex-wife Joanne still played an important role in his life, and was always an advocate for his health and well-being.

John will always be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humour, and his love and
passion for his game of soccer. John also loved music, and playing his guitar left-handed and upside-down.

A private Celebration of John’s life will be held in the spring, when his ashes will be spread. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta & NWT in John’s honour are welcome and appreciated.

I remember as an 8 year old meeting John for the first time, my memories of him playing cards with my mum, dad, brothers and sisters, he was a charachter and left a mark on me, introduced us to new card games. Rest in peace John.

Bill McCabe

God rest you big cousin. Took me to my first Celtic game and was a wonderful person. His life was a stern test, one which many would have found impossible. Keep a seat for me in Paradise John, enjoy the Clark party up there.

Spaghetti dinners and Grey Cup always came up in my conversations with John.
He loved our get togethers on Durie St. with Nanny and Grampa.
Even when John was sick he remembered those days.
John would sing How can you mend a broken heart by the BeeGees.
I’m gonna miss John.
Love and good memories,
