It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lionel Romeo Joseph Dubuc, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Lionel departed from this world on March 2nd, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Lionel is survived by the love of his life Phyllis Dubuc, his children Jerry Dubuc (Michelle Yurko) and Tammy (Hugh) Luck. He was a cherished grandfather to Skylar Reder-Dubuc (Darby Dwernychuk) and Madison Dubuc-Marchand (Derian Vaillant). His love extended to his bonus grandchildren Alyssa and Brooklyn Raymond.
Lionel’s true legacy lies in the warmth of his personality. He was a kind man who never judged and always enjoyed making people laugh. His drive and motivation came from his work in the oil field for over 60 years. Lionel’s passions included fishing and playing cards. He enjoyed being away at the lake surrounded by loved ones. Lionel’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide us. He will be deeply missed by anyone who had the privilege to know him.
A memorial service to celebrate Lionel’s life with be held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at Sandholm Community Hall of Leduc. Please join the family from 1-4 pm and let Tammy or Jerry know in advance if you will be joining. I was so sorry to hear about Lionel’s passing, I didn’t see Lionel often but when I did I left with a smile on my face because he always had a smile on his it is so hard when you lose someone but they will always be with you …..lots of love Pat.
There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss your laugh or your humor. I am always reminded of you and it hurts not having you around. I love you dad and I know your at peace and enjoying spending time with all your brothers and sisters.
