Barb Knudtson
Barbara Ann Knudtson (nee Holden) passed away peacefully at her home on June 16, 2026 with her loving husband of 55 years by her side. She is resting peacefully in the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
She was born in Castor, Alberta on March 2, 1949 and was 77 years old. She is survived by husband Les, daughter Krista (Tim) Ayers, son Mike, brothers Gregg (Vera) Holden, and Larry (Verna) Holden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by all of Les’ siblings and current spouses. She was predeceased by her mother and father Lloyd and Marion Holden.
Barb was an avid reader and was always surrounded by books. She also loved camping and bird watching at our trailer home in the country.
Donations can be made to Alberta Lung Association.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 1:00pm in Bethel Lutheran Church (298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta), with a luncheon to follow.
A family burial will take place at a later date.

I have very fond memories of my teenage years in Castor, and the friendship I had with Barb, getting up to all kinds of mischief!
She was my first very close friend, and we saw each other through many difficult times. She had a wicked sense of humour .

There were six of us and now there’s five.
Six girls whose friendship, transcends both time and distance.
Anytime we got together that all seem to disappear and we could just carry on as though we had met yesterday.
Barb, Elaine, Sheryl, Karen, Bev and myself.
We will all miss you, Barb and if we had known you were sick, we would’ve definitely came to you for any support you needed
