It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Roland Munro on September 28, 2025, at the age of 77.

Bruce will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Elena; son, Brad (Brandi); daughter, Carrie (Bernie); and his beloved grandchildren: Chandler, Sarah, Courtney, Jillian, Garret, and Macy. Bruce is also survived by his sister, Lynda (Carl); brother, David (Meg); as well as his brother- and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 26 years, Beverly (2019); his parents, Roland and Marjorie; his brother-in-law, Dan; and his sister-in-law, Debbie.

Bruce was an avid sports fan and athlete throughout his life. He played hockey, ball, and golf, and he also refereed hockey. When he could no longer play ball, he continued to support the sport by coaching and managing the team. Bruce was a dedicated fan of the Edmonton Oilers, the Edmonton Eskimos, and the Toronto Blue Jays. He would have loved to see the Jays take the East on the day he passed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1–4 p.m. at the Kingsway Legion (14339-50 St.). Please wear your favorite jersey in celebration of his favorite pastimes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Santa’s Anonymous (www.santasanonymous.ca/get-involved/get-involved2), a cause close to Bruce’s heart.
