It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of our beloved sister, step mother, god mother, aunt, grandmother and friend, Connie Elaine Church, of Gleniffer Lake, in Innisfail, on July 22, 2025 at the age of 72 years old.
Connie always excelled at what she did from hairdressing, jewelry sales, cosmetology to working along side her loving husband in many roles. She made many new friends that became family while traveling for work with her husband and when they became snow birds and escaped the winter months in Coral Sands.
Connie had a zest for life and could always put a smile on your face, she lived life fully and with no filter. She was strong willed, witty and stubborn and that’s what made her so resilient and reliable. The library in any town knew her well, as she was such an avid reader, her list of novels was extensive. She also loved to to go camping, spending time with people she loved, quadding in the mountains, and she walked many miles daily no matter where she was.
Those who knew her well knew she was a “dog whisperer” and after her furbabies crossed the rainbow bridge she was happy to dog sit anytime. All the dogs will miss her and her treat cupboard.
Connie was predeceased by her husband Allan Church and her parents Reinhold and Edna Kranzler.
All our lives are better and richer for having been blessed to have had Connie in them.
Special thanks go out to all the staff in the Innisfail Hospital for the incredible care.
Instead of floral arrangements or cards please donate to an animal charity of your choice or the Innisfail Hospital Acute care.
There will be no memorial at Connie’s request, her family will celebrate her privately.
