David Danielson

1953 – 2026 73 years old

It is with heartbreaking sadness we announce David’s passing after his courageous battle with cancer.

David will always be a farm boy at heart! He learned early in life to be a hard worker and help people who needed help. He loved living on the farm looking after his animals and driving the farm equipment. He always thought that he would be a farmer the rest of his life, but that was not to be as his family had decided to sell the family farm. Growing up as a child, David learned to fix machinery and vehicles by taking them apart and putting them back together to operate better than before! He had become, over the years, a jack of all trades.

After leaving the farm he studied and became a Master Electrician but also had a lot of knowledge of several trades. As a mechanic he could fix any vehicle with ease. We would never have to call for a repairman ever! Totally spoiled! David was a storyteller, he loved to talk about the past and living on the farm and celebrating family events.

David loved old cars and trucks from the 50’s,60’s and 70’s. He knew the makes, models, and the year they were made, he always wanted to rebuild an old car but that never happened. Hopefully he is accomplishing just that in Heaven!

David is survived by his wife, Tammy of 44 years; his sons, Christopher, and Matthew; brother, Harvey; sister-in-law, Emmie; nieces, Mehala(Lee), and Karissa(Steven); nephew, Dayton; step-daughter, Carissa(Jay); Step-grandsons, Dakota(Mataia), and Dalton (Kahlan); great-grandson, Nyko; and our beloved Bella! He is also suvived by his best friend, and soul brother from another mother, Maurice Danilak; his longtime friend, George Clark; and many friends, relatives, and coworkers.

David was predeceased by his parents Nils and Ines and several family members.

David has requested no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice

  1. Dave was a great guy and one of a kind. The obit says it all. I met Dave in the late 1970’s, and worked with him until ALCB privatized in 1993. He was always helping others by building things for them, wiring to refinish basements, and designing features to turn them into beautiful rec rooms. We hired Dave at ALCB in the 1980s and soon discovered that we had hired an inventor and electrical designer. Dave designed many upgrades to the complete electrical system. He was promoted to management and was in charge of the const/maint of liquor stores. He always excelled at whatever task he did. He was always a strong family man. Our condolences to Tammy and family. Bruce and June Frey

  2. I’m so very to hear of Dave’s passing. I admired him , his jovial manner , and his amazing work ethic. He was always the first one to help people with whatever task was needed. Dave was a man of many talents. We had shared interest in growing up on a farm. Tammy, my heart goes out to you.

  3. I met Dave in the early 90s at the A.L.C.B head office in Campbell industrial park/St. Albert. We were both electricians there and I soon learned that Dave was one of a kind, a multi-talented tradesman! He was very smart and organized, and a pleasure to work with! Working with Dave for many years really did turn us into “soul brothers”! Dave had a “big heart” and loved his family above all else!
My deepest condolences to Tammy and her family on a “great loss”!!
