Today we celebrate the life of a beautiful lady and wonderful friend.

Doris was born on November 29, 1927 in Whitewood Saskatchewan to Natalie and Fred Seifert. When Doris was 6 years old she moved from Whitewood to Alberta with her parents to a farm outside of Edmonton. After a few years on the farm, the family moved into Edmonton where Doris spend the rest of her life. She attended Garneau school and later graduated from Scona High school.

After graduation from Scona High School she enrolled in a medical technology course at the General Hospital. Doris graduated and received her degree in 1962 as a Registered Medical Laboratory Technician. Doris worked in the research bacteriology department at the U of A. After that she officially retired in 1987. Doris throughout her life played piano and taught lessons. Doris enjoyed travelling throughout Europe, Great Britain, Hawaii, the Maritimes and the USA.
