It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Robert Ferguson on January 10, 2026, at the University of Alberta hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 10, 1948, Dave was the ninth of ten children born to William and Isoline Ferguson. Dave is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Dana and 2 stepsons Todd (Bonnie) Wade (Trina) grandchildren Jake, Gigi, Mason, Zachary and step grandchildren Cole and Jaide, his sister Twila (Richard) brother Pat (Trudy) sister Ginny (Eddie) Pichota and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by brother Tom (Evelyn), sisters Audrey, Irene, Dolly (Ron), Paddy (Ivan), brother Bill and step son Troy. Dave was a loving husband and great father, known for his kindness and quick witty humour. He loved the outdoors, enjoying bird watching, wildlife, and fishing in his younger years, and he never missed a chance to cheer on the Edmonton Oilers. We will have a celebration of Dave’s life on May 9, 2026, in Edmonton, AB. We will be posting details at a later date.

Condolences in the passing of a kind, caring, humourous and gentle Husband and Dad, family member and friend. I have such good memories of our times together commencing at the Rodeo Club and culminating at a curling club,( any curling club) either participating OR watching his favorite curling athlete, Dana. Hang on to your great memories, Dave is smiling down at you.
