It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Aubin of Sherwood Park announce his passing on Friday Dec 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Born on November 4th, 1952, he was predeceased by his baby sister and his parents, Pierre and Irene. Jack is survived by his children with his first wife Dorine Thibault: Dena Aubin Vilorio, Jacqui Chornohus, Barry Aubin; and his four grandchildren, Alycia Chornohus, Graydon Chornohus, Maiya Aubin Viloria, Melia Aubin Vilorio. Jack is also survived by his siblings Liette, Judy, Gerald and Lizanne and his second wife Holly.
He leaves to mourn his loss by many including his stepsons Jesse, Jordan, Joel, Jon, along with his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all who brought joy to his world.
He was a man who spent time hunting, camping, fishing and working alongside his father he became proficient at mechanics and welding. Along with his Dad and his brother Gerald they built the ingenious “swamp dog.” Becoming “Jack of all trades” he obtained a welding certificate, worked selling life insurance, became a carpenter and developed wonderful woodworking skills. He performed his own plumbing and electrical work, acquiring many skills during his life and was capable of fixing darn near everything!
Jack’s last few years found him with dementia, a huge suffering as he navigated the journey until he received the call and his work on earth ended. Now he is at rest and rejoining with family and friends he hasn’t seen in a long time.
What Jack brought into our world was incredible love for family, an extraordinary beauty of the human heart. Now Jack is finally at rest and the family holds him close. Although Jack’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to console and lift us up will the many memories he gave us.
Jack’s wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of life is planned for next year when the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Jack’s life in their own way, raising a glass of their favorite drink in his memory would be quite appropriate.
Our dear Jack, your light will shine brightly forever in our hearts.

Sorry to hear of his early passing, though happy to know the suffering has ended.
Sincerest condolences to all his near and dear ones.

Hey buddy! Although we can’t see you we know you are watching over us. It was a real pleasure being your cousin and celebrating different events as we did together. We had many laughs over the years and are very saddened by your passing but we’ll eventually join you in paradise. Bye for now. Much love to you Doreen, Holly, and your families.
I spent a lot of time with my cousin before he got sick and after, I think of him everyday and miss him I’m sort of glad he’s not suffering anymore.
