Joe passed away peacefully in Edmonton on July 4, 2026, at the age of 93.
Joe was born in Tarnapol, Saskatchewan on April 5, 1933. He married Lorraine (McClean) in June of 1954.
Joe and Lorraine lived and worked most of their lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In the mid 1980s, Joe moved to Edmonton, Alberta for work. Later, he was joined by Lorraine after she retired.
Joe is survived by his children Gail (Haugrud) and Don, his 3 grandchildren Nicole, Kevin and Matt, 3 great-grandchildren Allison, Eric and Owen.
Joe was predeceased by his wife Lorraine (McClean), and parents Michael and Justyna.
I was so sad to hear, I shed some tears, he was my favorite man to visit, he reminded me of my own grandpa, He was always so friendly and kind.
