Orville passed away May 18, 2026 at the age of 94.
Orville is survived by his children Marilyn, Ken (Linda), Jack (Wendy), Kathy, his 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and his best buddy Skipper for the past 13 years.
He was predeceased by his wife (Norma) Jean, parents Mabel and Clarence, and son-in-law Gerald.
Orville grew up in the South Edmonton district of Rabbit Hill. He started driving truck when he was 16 and continued until he retired at 65. Orville was an avid hunter and fisherman and has several trophies to show for his efforts.
In 1996, Orville moved to Thorsby, Alberta, where he enjoyed gardening and loved sharing the bounty with family and friends.
At Orville’s request, there will be no formal funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 11, 2026, at the Glen Park Hall, 49004 Range Road 274, Leduc County between 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. for family and friends to reminisce and enjoy coffee and desserts.
