It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick Alexander Fraser, 61, of Ponoka, Alberta. Pat passed away on December 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Pat was known for his warm heart, hearty laugh, generous nature, and remarkable hair. He was a man without malice, and all who knew him held him in great affection. Always willing to offer assistance, Pat would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He loved bikes, beers, and babes; good food, country music, and time spent on the open road with his motorcycle. Above all, he valued time with family and friends. His granddaughter lovingly called him “Papa Pat,” a title he cherished and a relationship he held close to his heart.

Pat’s passion for driving was reflected throughout his career. He owned and operated his own limousine company and dedicated many years to transporting patients for Alberta Health Services. He took great pride in providing comfort, dignity, and care to those he served.

Pat is predeceased by his father, Joe Fraser; his son, Lance Fraser; his sister, Cindy Fraser; his niece, Ashley Beach; and his wife, Linda Fraser.

He will be deeply missed by his companion, Shirley Power; his son, Boe Fraser (Jessie); his beloved granddaughter, Chloe; his mother, Irene Fraser; his brothers, Billy and Phillip Fraser; his niece, Candace K. Fraser; his cousin, Luke Fraser; his loyal dog, Myla; and countless friends whose lives he touched—too many to name, but never forgotten.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date, when the weather is warm and he can be honored with a final ride on his motorcycle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada – Alberta Division.

Another Highwayman has left us; Pat now joins them in spirit on the open road.

  1. We had so many great trips escorting patients. Through snowstorms, rain storms, some hail, Pat always was cool and calm while I was scared shitless. I’ll miss you so much Pat you were my fav driver!

  2. Pat was one of a kind! We worked together for many years in mental health. He always had his coffee close at hand. We shared a love of motorcycles. Keep the shiny side up Pat.
