Our beloved DELON M. CHRISTENSEN, of Edmonton, Alberta peacefully passed away on June 19, 2026 at the remarkable age of 92. DeLon was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years HILKKA LAURA KANGASNEMI CHRISTENSEN who passed away in August 2004.
DeLon leaves behind his children, MARLOW & Shelley, NADINE & Steven, LARAE & Jamie, DEANNE & Dave and the youngest DENISE. He will also be missed by his 17 grandchildren and their spouses and 32 great grandchildren.
DeLon also leaves behind his loving wife of 18 years, JOCELYN ESPIRITU CHRISTENSEN. He will also be missed by his stepchildren Joyce, Joshua and Jong and step grandchildren Kiel, Sheissy, Kairi and AJ.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, staff, Nurses and Health Care Aids of the Good Samaritan Southgate Care Center where DeLon spent his last 2 years, who will cherish the memories of his quick wit, humor and vibrant spirit.
DeLon’s illustrious career in aviation spanned almost 35 years, during which he flew for Shell Canada, Ward Air, and CP Air (Air Canada), earning his rank as Captain. He took great pride in flying 347, Jumbo Jet and most specially the P-51 Mustang, a memorable war plane.
