It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother Robert Roy Dombrowsky on Aug 29, 2025. Robert was born in Edmonton on March 8, 1955 and spent a majority of his life here. He had a kind soul and anyone who knew him knew he was a talker. He could make an hour disappear faster than anyone I have ever met. He used to sit in Newton park and play guitar for anyone who would listen. That’s how he ended up with the nickname Johnny after Cash his idol. He spent a whole lot of his years doing that and making people smile.
Robert enjoyed playing guitar and playing cards. Many a late night was had with a few refreshments and a good guts game or even Yahtzee game. That was what he loved. Having company to talk too and enjoy the simple things in life.
In his later years Robert had some health issues that slowed his mobility but he kept on trucking thru it. May he rest in peace and join the ones who have gone before him for a good game of Yahtzee or sing them a song.
Robert is pre deceased by his mother Leocadia (Lottie) and his father Ivan. He leaves to mourn 2 brothers Brian, wife Shirley and Donald, wife Joanne. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, 1 aunt Rose and uncle Art and too many cousins to list here.
Until we meet again rest easy brother. You will be sorely missed
