It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful and unexpected passing of William “Bill” David Mah, on September 14, 2026, at the age of 63, in Edmonton, Alberta.
Bill will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his stepmother, Chuang; his sister, Deanna (Glenn) Kirkland; nephew, Brendan; niece, Kayleigh (Luis) Davalos; grandnephews, Leo and Noah; uncle Bud (Joan) Chow; cousins, William (Maryanne) Chow, Everly, Jonathan (Lisa) Chow, Kai, Mia and Dio; as well as many extended relatives and dear friends. Bill was predeceased by his beloved parents, Lillian and Bing.
Although Bill was a private person, he was never one to shy away from meaningful conversation. He loved time spent with family and friends. Sharing laughter, trading stories, and simply enjoying the warmth of good company. A love of sports and life’s simple pleasures brought him immense joy.
Bill devoted many years to retail management at London Drugs, a role that brought him a strong sense of purpose and pride. He valued the people he worked with and the relationships that grew from their shared experiences. Along the way there were countless conversations, friendships and connections that became an important part of his story. His work not only gave him a sense of accomplishment, but also lasting relationships that meant a great deal to him.
Following his second stroke, life became more challenging, but Bill faced those challenges with strength and determination. Despite the difficulties, he continued to carry on and enjoy life in his own way, never losing his appreciation for the people and moments that mattered most. His passing leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2027, bringing family and friends together to honour and celebrate Bill’s life. Details will be announced at a later date. A private family interment will take place separately at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I’ll miss how we used to to talk and reminisce about the Edmonton we spent our childhoods in. Simpler, better times that we all wish we could relive. I hope… no, I’m sure that’s what you’re doing now.
