Obituary for Robert Edward Nabholz
June 5, 1931 – December 9, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Edward Nabholz, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Robert passed away peacefully by MAID surrounded by his family at the age of 93 in Sherwood Park, Alberta, after a courageous journey with cancer.

Born on June 5, 1931, in Calgary, Alberta, to Spencer and Euphemia Nabholz, Robert’s life was marked by love, resilience, and a deep devotion to his family. Predeceased by his cherished wife of 59 years, Doris, Robert leaves behind a remarkable legacy built on unwavering love and steadfast dedication.

Robert will be deeply missed by his five children: Barry (Sheena), Kevin (Lori), Janet (Randy Oswald), Ron (Anne), and Trevor (Joanna), who carry forward his values of kindness and integrity. He was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and the delighted great-grandfather of 14 great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his life.

Throughout his 93 years, Robert exemplified strength, humility, and a boundless sense of humor. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing moments with family and passing on stories that highlighted his wisdom and wit. His memory will remain a guiding light for those fortunate enough to have known him.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Bedford staff, the compassionate caregivers and all the family and friends who supported Robert in his final days.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held the end of June/25 at a location to be determined at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert’s name to Salvation Army.

Rest in peace, Robert. You were deeply loved, and your legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew you.
