It is in the deepest sorrow that the Miller family announces the sudden, unexpected passing of Robert Gordon Miller on Oct 16th, 2023 of pneumonia.

Robert will be loving remembered by his parents, Jim and Liz Miller of Sherwood Park, AB; his brother Leigh Miller of Canmore, AB; his God Parents Aunt Gloria Cole of St. Paul, AB and uncle Evan Miller of Florida; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rob was predeceased by his Dido and Baba, Paul and Mary Samoil; Grandpa and Grandma, Lee and Helen Miller; and his cousin Suzann Yakimchuk.

Robert was born October 18, 1964, in Edmonton at the University of Alberta Hospital. He lived with his family in Sherwood Park and on an acreage in the Adrossan area before making his own home in Sherwood Park. Robert attended schools in Sherwood Park and was active in many team sports in the school and the community such as badminton, volleyball, football and all intermural sports.

After graduation from Sal Comp, Rob completed his BSC at the U of A and attained his CMA with distinction through Grant MacEwan. Rob worked for the CRA as an International Tax auditor for over 25 years. Rob’s favorite past times were skiing, golfing, and loved his many trips to Cuba. Rob will be remembered for his ultimate dedication to his family and friends. He is greatly loved and missed.

A Celebration of Rob’s life will be held on November 4th, 2023 from 1pm to 4 pm at the Northern Bear Golf Course located at 51055 Range Rd 222, Sherwood Park AB, T8C 1J6. During the Celebration of Life there will be many opportunities for everyone to share stories and memories of Rob. The family requests that masks be worn and sanitizer will be provided at the entrance. In lieu of flowers; please consider signing your organ donor card as this was very important to Rob.
