My husband Mike and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Rochelle’s family. We first met Rochelle when she volunteered to work on Mike’s 2001 campaign, but did her due diligence by arranging a meeting with Mike first to ensure he was a candidate she could not only support, but also encourage others to support. I then ended up hiring her to work with me at the UofA Faculty of Engineering to help organize events for our alumni and donors and support our relationships with them. She excelled at both tasks. She always impressed us with her big heart, positive attitude, incredible work ethic, and confidence in taking on anything new. She will be missed.
Thank you for the beautiful celebration today of Rochelle‘s life. It was wonderful hearing the stories from all her family members. Her life will live on through all the memories that we all share. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was a special lady.
Sincerely,
Deborah Parker
It’s been over a month since hearing this news and I’m still so saddened. Len and my condolences to her family and close friends. I wish Rochelle were writing this condolence because she was an exceptional communicator. We had so many great times together in London, Ontario, since we met in 2018 and until she returned to Alberta. She was a good friend and we could always count on her to be where she said she would be and the time she would be there, never late. She was so excited when she returned to Alberta, found a lovely apartment, and decorated it from scratch, she loved pink. We didn’t talk much once she went to Alberta but we texted frequently and shared a love of True Crime shows and Hallmark Movies. Our politics differed but we respected each other’s points of view and normally just avoided the subject. She was very passionate and very knowledgeable in her politics. She had a lot of hardships in her short life and I know she often wasn’t at peace and I only hope she is at peace now.
My deepest condolences to Rochelle’s family and friends. Rochelle was an intelligent, kind and wise woman. I pray that she is at peace with our Lord Jesus. She will forever be in my heart.
Rochelle
I remember meeting you in London in April 2016 we were instant friends doing so many crazy things. Through so many ups and downs for both of us but we were always there for each other you’ve always had some advice to give, and sometimes you get so angry at my choices but we’d always laugh about it. Thanks for all your advice and friendship over the years.
You had so many plans your cruise coming up so much to look forward to in the new year. I will miss our weekly conversations, laughs and giggles and updates on world events..
It’s hard to believe you’re no longer just a phone call away.
I guess they were in need of another angel. I hope you look down on the world and souls left behind and send some good things this way.
Wish we could have had one more conversation.
Hope life is better there for you.
Keep your love and laughter alive.
You will be missed by your family and friends here for your big personality.
Till we meet again.
Your friend,
Chickadee
