It is with profound sadness that the family of Sheila Dianna Wolbaum, announce her sudden passing at home on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 72 years.
She will be lovingly remembered and survived by her husband of 52 years, Ernie; children: Jarrett (Melanie), Belynda, and Amanda (Curtis); grandchildren: Kourtney, Kayden, Darien, Adalyn; step grandchildren: Zach, Kieran and Miley. Siblings Brian (Leslie), Ron (Cathy), Pat (John), Gerry (Connie), Maureen (Mike) along with many extended friends and family.
She was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Cecile Kirkpatrick, in-laws John and Magdeline Wolbaum.
It has been said that she was stubborn, rough around edges at times but fiercely loyal and loving with a heart of gold. If she loved you, you were in her life forever and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for you. Even though she suffered daily with pain, she always took the time to check in with others and enjoy a few laughs. She will be greatly missed by many but we all can agree that we would rather feel the pain we feel then to see her suffer another day in the pain she was in.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
‘Stubborn’ doesn’t even begin to describe you. You took me in as a young man while dating your adopted daughter, Belinda. We butted heads many, many times. However, I look back with fondness at the times that I spent with you and Ernie, Amanda, and Jarrett (and Belinda). You and Ernie both helped me through difficult times. At 48 years old (2024), I reflect back at the values that you both instilled in me. Harsh and stubborn though you may have been, I can only imagine what molded you into the person your were. There was an indelible kindness that shone through when it was needed most. Thank you. Many years too late but, I thank you for your kindness and acceptance into yours and Ernie’s home. Rest in beautiful peace.
Sheila had a true fondness for visiting with extended family when she could. We enjoyed visiting with her at Pine Lake one summer and she reminisced about the cousins water skiing . She was so proud of her cousin Lyndon. That is when i first met Sheila. She was so kind and expressed her good memories of family times with her cousins.
Sheila will always be remembered with a smile. Much love to your family from ours.
Our deepest condolences on the sudden loss of Sheila. Sheila was there for everyone. We will miss her regular phone calls to see how her “cuz” was doing. She will always be in our hearts.

Shiela was a wonderful person. She will be missed.
Our condolences and prayers to the families
Our condolences to all of Sheila’s family and friends. Although we didn’t see Sheila much in recent years she would still keep us informed of any updates of family or just to check and see how we were all doing and we will miss that. So until we meet again Cuz, keep practicing playing cards and racking up those “Sheila points”.
Our deepest sympathy to Ernie and family We have all lost a great friend.
Sheila was always there for her family and if you needed anything you knew she had your back. Lots of late night phone calls. I miss these. My heart is broken for you all.
My deepest condolences go out to the entire family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during these difficult times
I am so sorry for your loss Wolbaums! Sheila was such a strong fiery soul with a heart of gold. I remember her money cakes at Lynnie’s birthdays. Spending time in the dog world in my childhood with your mom, wondering why she decided on the minpins instead of a rottie. I am truly grateful that Shelia was there for me in my darkest times as a child, with the door open and the only a phone call away. She always made me feel valued as a human and I’ll never forget her. I’m so very sorry to hear this. All my best wishes as you grieve through this time. Much love
My condolences to Ernie, Jarrett, Lynn, Amanda, and all you family in your time of loss.
