Janet Lynn Sterling (McBain) of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully in her home on May 7, 2026 at the age of 83, after a difficult journey with cancer.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Jon, children Michele (Lonnie), Deb (Karl), Jen (Bernardo), and Chris as well as grandchildren Alex (Bryan), Torey (Darian), Jaron (Julie), Cassidy (Tanner), Teagan, and Bernardo, and her siblings Richard (Joyce), Joanne, Susan, and sister-in-law Laurie.
She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Allen McBain.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Research or to the Sherwood Park Food Bank.
Please accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time. Janet was always there and having her in my life has been such a gift. May your cherished memories bring you peace in the days ahead.
